Rosie is a mental health GP with 30 years of experience in general medical practice. Her focus is on counselling, mental health and mind-body connection. She has a passion for increasing mental health awareness and implementing collaborative, cross-discipline training in the medical professions.
Rosie is an experienced General Practitioner whose area of work has steadily deepened in the mental health and counselling arena which she discovered was so desperately needed in the remote rural community in which she worked. Throughout her career, she has had involvement in training of medical students with an emphasis on their mental health and Burnout Prevention. In addition to her medical training and experience, Rosie has undertaken additional study and formal training in various neuroscience informed psychological approaches to therapy including Solution Focused Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, EMDR and NLP Master Practitioner.
Key Focus Areas
Rosie is part of the psychotherapy team at NeuroFrontiers Clinic and is level 2 mental health accredited with Medicare. In addition to clinical work and expertise, she works in the Neuro Org team, facilitating training and group work. Rosie is a core member of the Burnout Prevention Clinic team and facilitates burnout prevention professional consultations/trainings.
Rosie is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (FACRRM), a Member of the Australian Society of Psychological Medicine (MASPM) and is an Associate Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). She has Diplomas in Solution Focused Therapy and Hypnosis (Dip. Sol. Foc. Therapy) and Community Services Case Management (Dip. Comm. Serv.). Additional qualifications include; Master NLP & Hypnosis practitioner, Somatic Experiencing (Advanced).
